What are all things?

Albert Barnes has this thought, “All things - All our afflictions and trials; all the persecutions and calamities to which we are exposed. Though they are numerous and long-continued yet they are among the means that are appointed for our welfare.”

If you listen to people talk, even Christians you hear them speak very blessed of God when good things happen, and they should, but what about the “bad times”? our persecutions and trials in life are also a blessing from God, we just do not recognize them as such. We are finite, so therefore we have many limits, and those limits causes us to be ignorant of so many things. We sometimes find ourselves laboring in our bad time when we ought to praise God in them and recognize His Sovereignty in everything that happens in our life. Most Christians don’t even know about the Sovereignty of God because they are not taught about it. Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:18 “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;” So God has said, “we know that all things work together for good”, because “all things are of God,”. Since all things are of God and God has promised that all things work together for the good, then shouldn’t we praise God for every event in our life whether good or bad? Believing in God as the Sovereign Being that He is helps with this, because His Sovereignty puts Him in control of everything. Let us use this example: Let’s say you must be in a certain location that was a must being there, and you missed your flight, this might seem like a life disaster, until you heard the plane crashed, was missing the flight a blessing? As a finite people we are limited to thought and understanding, therefore we cannot balance the blessings of God with the happenings of life. Only God is infinite, therefore having all knowledge and understanding, because He has ordained everything to be, it is called “PREDESTINATION”. “Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,” Ephesians 1:5 Everything in our life is “ORDAINED” of God before the world was ever created and is manifested in due time. “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” Ecclesiastes 3:1 even our birth and death are ordained of God, “A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;” Ecclesiastes 3:2 If Believer’s are not taught these things then they will never understand them and life will be more difficult because we fail to know that, “…know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Now, for a true blessing and a greater understanding of this, read the rest of Romans 8 that is verses 28 – 39 and pay special attention to verses 28 – 30. Folks, God is in control of everything and nothing is out of His control, because He has ordained everything in your life to be, even death. Therefore, we have reason to praise God for every event in our life, even in sickness and death. To understand God is to understand His workings, His salvation, and the blessings of death. While many things in life may be thought of as disastrous, God has it in His control and in some way there is good in it, even in death. Remember God’s promise to us, “Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord…(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)…We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:6 – 8

The rejection of Jesus Christ.

John 8:37 “I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.”

Jesus Christ is without question the Son of God, the Saviour that God sent to this world to die for our salvation and shed His blood to wash all our sins away. He was born of Mary who was in the linage of Abraham and David and therefore Jesus is the rightful heir to King David’s earthly throne. “He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:” Luke 1:32 However, He was rejected of the Jews. John wrote about the Jews rejecting Jesus, “He came unto his own, and his own received him not.” John 1:11 Since the Jewish Nation rejected Jesus Christ they sought to and did crucify Jesus who was the very Christ they were seeking. This was to show their rejection of Him as God’s Son and mankind’s God sent Saviour. So, let us ask ourselves, what can we learn from this rejection? It is easy for people to miss the Messiah and live a life of deceitful worship, never knowing the True Saviour. Today, people who are “Christians” by name only, church members by name only, and servants of God by name only, do not know the Saviour of mankind in their heart. While the Jews did not know Jesus nor recognize Him as God’s Son, many today while they recognize Him as God’s Son, recognize Him not as Saviour, and that is their condemnation. Jesus said, “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:18 This belief is not in your mind but rather in your heart, “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:10 Not with the blood pumping heart, but the spirit which is also known as the inner-man as Paul wrote in Ephesians 3:15 “That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;” It is this “inner man” or spirit in man that is God’s communication place. It is this spirit that is dead in lost people and until it is made alive and you have absolutely no communications or no inner blessings from God. “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;” Ephesians 2:1 This is why Paul wrote in Romans 10:10 “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness…” it is the Holy Spirit that quickens your natural dead spirit and causes it to live, therefore having the ability to have communication with the Holy Spirit. “And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness...But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” Romans 8:10 – 11 It is thru this spiritual communication of God’s Spirit and our living spirit that we are blessed in being able to communicate with God. If your spirit has not been made alive by the Holy Spirit, then (1.) you are not saved. (2.) you cannot have any communications with the Father, and (3.) Jesus the Christ means nothing to you, and you are eternally lost regardless of your status in this life. Just as the Jews never knew Jesus Christ as Saviour, many who claim to know Him and claim to be Christians are just as wrong and just as lost about the Messiah and their eternal status. God’s word has no effect on these people; therefore, they create a religion and form their own doctrine that denies the True Saviour and word of God. They cannot see that God is Sovereign and that salvation is totally in the person of Jesus Christ. They abuse the scriptures, changing God’s truth into a lie, and creating a religion that praises themselves instead of God and Jesus. Just like the Jews are sadly wrong about Jesus so are the “Religionist Christians”. And why do they do this, “… because my word hath no place in you.” Therefore, Jesus went on to say, “And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.”  John 8:45 The bible is truth, but they seek to distort it because they cannot spiritually understand it if the Holy Spirit does not dwell in them. It is only those who God has truly saved by the power of the Holy Spirit and thru the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ that will ever understand the truth. “He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.” John 8:47 If you have not truly fled to Jesus Christ then today is the day of salvation if you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28, - “And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.” John 6:65, - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  Romans 8:14

Heed the Warning!!!

As a Nation, America has found herself is a very evil place. We now allow evil to be good and good to be evil. Changing what should be pleasing God into pleasing the natural, anti-God person within us. We have people who call themselves Christians and worship centers calling themselves churches who do not even know the God of the bible or His blessed Son Jesus Christ. These people are a larger disgrace to God, Jesus, the Bible, and what is truly a church than all the rest of the dying and lost world together. This is Satan’s imitation of Christians and churches in the world. God said, “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ…And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light…Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” 2 Corinthians 11:13 – 15 It is because of these imitating Christians and churches that the world is confused about God and our Saviour Jesus Christ, they are non-believing and deceitful. They deny the True God and Jesus the Christ His beloved Son and our Saviour. They deny God as Sovereign and Jesus as Saviour, they deny the bible as truth, and they deny the true gospel. It is these very people who have weakened true Christianity in our world, and America. Our Nation has been turned more against God and Jesus Christ in large part because of these worship centers that are called churches. These people are the greatest opposition to the true churches, the true teaching about God, and the true gospel that will lead to salvation. Their most damming teaching is “works for salvation” it is in reality a satanic lie. God said without question it is a lie. “Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:9, “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” Romans 3:20 It is this satanic lie that confuses the world about the truth of the gospel and the truth about salvation. These people are not Christians they are servants of Satan, and very damaging to the cause that we edify about God and Jesus. Their teaching is Satan’s way of weakening God’s true gospel. Most of them mock God and His word by denying biblical truths they do not understand. Most of them will accept any worldly teaching like the LGBTQ movement and abortions, radical anti-God worldly beliefs. This is proven in such a radical Pope that denies the reality of hell, making statements like “you do not have to know God to get to heaven”, pure worldly radicalism. Our Nation has forgotten God, Jesus, and Gods standards for our Nation. A Nation (America) God has blessed so richly to protect Israel is turning in hate against God’s chosen Nation. Our children have been radicalized with evil hearts, so much so that they are defiant to God on every thought. They kill other humans without any conscience, they have no mortality. They were taught by their parents, schoolteachers, peers, and yes even worship centers called churches to be heathens, which also comes natural to them. They have no respect for God, Jesus, the bible, churches, or Christians at all, in fact they hate them in their heart. Hate is the rule of our time, we cannot disagree because most no longer allow another thought process. America has forgotten God; they not only reject God they hate Him and all He stands for. We had one very ignorant Presidential Candidate to quote a scripture out-of-context and accuse of people who disagree with the LGBTQ movement as discrimination, which means he called God a discriminating being. This is what God teaches about the LGBTQ movement, “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature…And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet…And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;” Romans 1:26 – 26 Folks, the fear of God is critical in our belief, service, and walk to God, these people have no fear of God because it is no longer taught in worship centers. Our Nation has forgotten God, she no loner respects His word, and is going to hell. God warned of this and America failed to pay attention, do not think God will not cast them into the eternal fires of hell, He absolutely promised to do so.      

The Pains of being a Christian in this evil world.

 “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” 2 Timothy 3:12


Not all people who call themselves Christians are Christian, therefore every true believer in Jesus Christ needs to be careful in whom they listen to for their biblical education. God said we need to “Test the Spirits” in order to find the true teachers of Gods word. “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world…Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:”  1 John 4:1 – 2 The greatest test for trying the spirits in people is the truth about salvation in Jesus Christ. “For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”  2 Corinthians 11:4 Learning about being a Christian is learning everything, and that includes the painful part of it. As Christians our blessing is not on this world, it is in heaven that our blessings will be bestowed on us. While God does give us limited earthly blessings, He also sends us trials in life. These trials are two-fold, some are for chastisement and some are to test our faith, but all are for our good. But let us understand this very fact, if you are a true Christian you will suffer trials and persecutions in this world without question. Anyone who tells you otherwise is ignorant to the truth about God, no matter who they are. The worlds population will hate you just as they hated Jesus and they will persecute you just as they did Jesus. Once a believer in Jesus Christ understands this the quicker they can deal with the persecutions when they come. God said that just being a Christian and living godly is call for persecution “…all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” Therefore, anyone who tells you different, they are ignorant to God’s truth, even if they are nationally known people with large followers. God said of these people, “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”  2 Corinthians 11:3 Satan has his angels in this world deceiving just as he deceived Eve in the garden, and they come as God’s servants but are liars like their father the devil. God said, “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ…And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”  2 Corinthians 11:13 – 14 This is why every believer must test the spirit that is in those speaking and ask, what is their thought’s about Jesus. A true Christian recognizes Jesus Christ as their Saviour and depends on nothing but His blood to cleanse their sins. Please remember anyone who preaches any sort of works for salvation is not of God. This is real folks, if you are a true Christian you shall suffer worldly persecution. Christians cannot believe that you will ever be happy in this world, it is not our home. Not till it is melted and made new and the New Jerusalem come down from heaven. Jesus said, “I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.”  John 17:14 So when persecution falls on you consider it a blessing and understand that God will never leave nor forsake you. He is ever at your side always controlling everything that is happening in our life. Remember beloved, God never promised that being a Christian is being persecution free but promised it. Jesus also said, “He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.”  Matthew 10:39 Fear not this world, walk in the Lord and no matter what happens it is worth it.
