Search the Scriptures, in them you will find the TRUTH!

"And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."  John 5:38 – 39

God is the author of the Holy Scriptures; man was simply the writers as the Holy Spirit inspired. Paul wrote to Timothy these words, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16 – 17  The only way we can trust the bible is if it is 100% breathed by the Holy Spirit, men do not know anything about God except what God has shown them. The problem in the world of “Christian Religion” is that people believe man rather than God, it only by searching God’s Holy Script that you will find the absolute truth. It does no good if you search the scriptures with a bias heart, the scriptures must be searched with an open unbiased heart. There is nothing more important to anyone in this world than the salvation of your soul, nothing! Salvation is the single most important doctrine, because if you do not get it right you will go to hell when you die. It doesn’t matter how you were raised, what you have been taught all your life, it doesn’t matter what you believe, it doesn’t matter what men teach, all that matters is if you believe the biblical truth about salvation. Everything scripturally begins with salvation, not just salvation but true salvation. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33 You will not have God’s truth in you if you’re not God’s child first, it is only after salvation you will understand the truth of the scriptures. The scriptures are a revelation and to the unsaved it is a confusion to their understanding. The unsaved understands humanism thus everything is accomplished within a person, humanism recognizes the will and power of the person, seeing everything self-accomplished by their will and power therefore praising themselves. But God said this this is a lie, “Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.” Romans 1:25 The same is also to understanding the doctrine of the bible, it is all divinely inspired, all God’s gracious gift by the Holy Spirit. “And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”  Matthew 16:17 There are billions of souls that think they have eternal life but are lost and destined to eternal hell. The truth of salvation is in the scriptures, if you never seek the truth about salvation, you will never find it. If your salvation is based on anything but the Holy Scriptures, you are not saved. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:8 – 10 If your salvation includes human works then you are not saved, you believe the lie of Satan who has man blinded to prevent them from seeing God’s truth about salvation. This is not Baptist Doctrine this is God’s word and because of that it is what Baptist believe. The doctrine is God’s Holy script called the Bible. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine…” Baptist Doctrine is the scriptures not a confession of faith, so if you hate “doctrine” you hate God’s word. Paul wrote, “For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.”  Acts 20:27 – 28 It is the Pastors responsibility to preach the truth in love not church doctrine. The whole bible and not selected scriptures out-of-context or making-up humanistic laced doctrine. It is your personal responsibility to search the scriptures to find the truth as God’s word reveals it. You may find that you need to be saved, God may show you the truth if you search for it.

Waiting With Patience on the Lord.

And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.” Romans 8:23 – 25

God has given every believer something special in our salvation, HOPE, and as Christians we need to keep that hope in our hearts. God said about hope, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  Hebrews 11:1 Hope is in our Father and His blessed Son Jesus Christ, that one day we will be in heaven and enjoy our new home with our Father and our Saviour for all eternity. As believers we cannot see this hope, we do not see God, Jesus, or heaven, therefore it’s called Hope because God said, “…things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” If you want to see these things then they are not hope, because hope comes from faith, Hope is not seen, “but hope that is seen is not hope:” This is why we have faith, we believe in God who we cannot see, Jesus who we cannot see, we have hope of being in heaven which we cannot see. Remember, “…faith is the substance of things hoped for…” therefore our hope is powered by our faith. Our faith in God and His word builds up hope in where our future is, our faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour builds our hope for a heavenly future. God said we are, “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” Titus 2:13 Our hope is in the glorious coming of Jesus Christ, it is in God, it is in being in heaven soon. Our hope is not in this world or the things or people of it. The second coming of Jesus Christ has been talked about since Jesus ascended into the heavens after His resurrection. Today, more than two-thousand years later we still have faith in His coming which gives us hope. The lost world has no faith and therefore they have no hope. No hope in Jesus as Saviour, no hope in God, no hope of heaven, their only hope is in this wicked world. Since faith gives the believer hope in things not seen, we may KNOW that we shall have something much greater after this life, something much greater than all things this world can offer. It is a blessing from God to know, “And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.” 1 John 3:19 – 22 Our faith in our Great God and our Glorious Saviour gives us all this hope. That we may know, yes that we may know, that even if our own hearts fail us, God is keeping our hope alive, we know that the work we do for the Lord is not in vain, and to know that God hears and answers all our prayers as He graciously wills. Knowing this is a blessing, a gift from God, therefore we are to wait on the Lord patiently, for God’s glorious gifts. We are not to lose faith in God or the things that are to be, patience is a must. We must work hard to keep our lamps trimmed and ready because we never know in a second, we might see Jesus face to face. Please keep these scriptures in your heart at all times, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” James 1:2 - 4 No matter what life brings, trust the Lord in all things and “let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
