Are You Bought By The Blood?

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.” 1 Corinthians 6:20

It really sickens me to hear Christians speak about their own bodies. Folk’s hear this loud and clear, if you are saved then you are not your own, you belong to God. God the Father paid a price for you, He paid the life and blood of His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ received you as a gift, but you cost the Father His own dear Son’s life. “But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building…Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” Hebrews 9:11 – 12 Let us not forget that God the Father sent Jesus to purchase you with His own blood. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 You were not purchased to be your own but to be God’s servant and child. You belong to God, He bought you and He owns you. Your body, soul, and spirit are not yours and you cannot do with it as you please. Therefore, Paul reminds us to dedicate ourselves to God, Jesus, and holiness. “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers…But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot…Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,” 1 Peter 1:18 – 20 If you are saved then act like it, stop acting as though you are still lost, God’s property do not act like the corruptible world. Peter went on to write this truth, “Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God…Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently…Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” 1 Peter 1:21 – 23 Your body ought to be a temple of God, is God happy with your temple? Your spirit is your inner-person and that is where God communicates with you, it is also known as you heart. Keep your inner thinking pure and pureness will come from you both in words and actions. Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 How can the world see that you are God’s if you are not living inside and outside of your body for the Lord? The Lord said, “Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.” Matthew 7:17 What does your fruit in life tell people, do they see a Christian or the world in your works? People do notice if you are a Christian, what are you showing them, what is your fruit, holy or defiance? Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God…They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing…To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.” Psalms 92:13 - 15

“Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood”

“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,” Revelation 1:5

As a Christian, I cannot thank God enough for saving my soul from the eternal fires of hell. Jesus Christ was born in the likeness of sinful flesh, grew-up in a sinful world, and died at the hands of sinful men, just so I could be saved from the eternal fires of hell. What a true unspeakable blessing, what a blessing of total grace and mercy on my Father part to elect me before the foundation of the world and give me to the Son and His willingness to do all this for me. Jesus said in John 15:9 “As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.” Now look at this verse closely, “as the Father loved me” that is with the very same love that the Father loves Jesus Christ, “so have I loved you”. The very same love, that means on every level that the Father loves Jesus, Jesus loves us. Let that soak in, let that dwell in you mind and heart for a while, how much are we loved of God, as God loves Himself. Look at 1 John 4:10 “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” What is love, love is that God loved us, we did not love God He loved us and because He did Jesus loved us and because He did He went through this earthly sacrifice to cleanse us from all our sins. While the people of this world are trying to figure out how to cleanse their own sins, Jesus washed mine away because of love. Let’s move on to the next unthinkable blessing of God, 1 John 3:1 “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.” The word “matter” means - of what possible sort – indeed what sort of love it must be, that God could ever love a sinner like me. People act as though God loves everyone, but that is not true nor is it possible, because God hates the workers of iniquity. Psm 5:5 God did not come to hate them God has an eternal hatred for them. But I am blessed of God that He loved me and sent His beloved Son Jesus Christ to die and wash my sins away by His glorious sinlessness blood. If you are saved this day praise God for His love and Jesus for His earthly sacrifice that gave us salvation. Stand-up and shout form on high, sing a new song of praise for our blessed Saviour. “And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;”Revelation 5:9

Death, When Will It Come?

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” Hebrews 9:27

I know the most least popular subject among people is death, but when you speak of their death then the subject is really not welcome. Lost people are the people who really shy away from the subject. See, God has appointed mankind or people to die, we are all going to die at some point. There is no escape every living soul has and will eventually meet their last moment on this earth. And this I can assure you when you die, you will enter heaven or hell, there is no escape. It doesn’t matter what you believe or what your opinion might be, God has ordained that everyone die. Even Jesus The Christ, God’s own dear Son come to the point in life where He left His body. Different people, different religions, and even atheist may have different options about what happens after death, but all will agree, we will all die. I believe God, I believe what the bible says about death, and I believe that saved people will enter the kingdom of God and lost people will enter the eternal fires of hell. God said, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat…Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:13 – 14 The only question is, which path will you go when you die. People do not think about death because unless they have a fatal illness then death is far from their daily thinking. See, God has not only appointed us to die, but our time of death is also appointed by God. “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven…A time to be born, and a time to die…” Ecclesiastes 3:1 – 2a the word “season” means – appointed – God has appointed our birth and our death by His choosing. However, we have no idea when our death has been appointed, all we know is that God has appointed it for us. “He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.” Job 26:10 It matters not what you believe or think, it only matters what God has said. Since we have covered all these details about death, my question to you is, when are you going to die? How much longer do you have to live? Babies die every day in their mother’s womb, children die every day, young people die every day, the truth is you might not be alive tomorrow. What then, why if you were to be shot, in a car accident, have a stroke, heart attack or Etc. Etc. Etc., there are thousands of ways you could die tomorrow. What then? The truth is not one single soul can promise they will be alive tomorrow. So, think about it, you better think about it because once you die you are in either heaven or hell. God said, “(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)” 2 Corinthians 6:2 because tomorrow for you may never get here. This is something to think about, this is something you better think about. If you are lost then you may soon be in hell, and if you are saved you might not have any crowns of righteousness. Are you like the five virgins who bought no oil for their lamps or the five that did? Today is the day of salvation, you count on tomorrow, you may be in the eternal fires of hell. The rich man found out about hell and God allowed us to see it. “And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom…And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.” Luke 16:23 – 24 What will you see when you die? Here is salvation, “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:18
