True Worship is Spiritual.

John 4:23 - 24 “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. (24) God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

It is good for all Christians to understand how to worship God. So much worship today is false and for show. One absolute truth is that non-believers will never worship God because God is worshipped thru our spirit and not outwardly, lost people have dead spirits. Lost people only have an outwardly form of worship because their dead spirit is dead. Now please understand, I did not say believers has not outwardly worship at all, God’s people most certainly in their worship of God should show outward emotions. However, that outward emotion will be an outward passionate response of joy in our inward spirit or spiritual heart. Personally, I think churches lack in outward responses to the inward spirit in today times. Today we look at it as Pentecostalism to show much of an outward response. We have allowed the heathen to control our worship service and our external spiritual response. How can a happy and excited inward spirit be so contained without an outward response? Paul wrote in Romans 8:14 - 15 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (15) For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” The word “cry” means - to “croak” (as a raven) or scream, that is, (generally) to call aloud” – My word you have been saved by God thru the working of the Holy Spirit, scream it to the world in praise to God. Our outward emotion is our showing what the Holy Spirit is doing inwardly. Robert Hawker said “The leadings of the Spirit, and the witnessings of the Spirit, all manifest in their daily tokens of grace, the sonship and privileges of the regenerate in Christ. It is they, and they only, which have freeness of access to the throne, and to the pardon-office of Christ; and can, and do say, Abba, Father! No servants, no bonds-men, no unregenerate; none but of the family of God in Christ, who are heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; can so approach, or claim such a relationship. An union with Christ is the only foundation for enjoying communion with the heirship of Christ.” How can this salvation not be exciting, how can the proclaiming of the word of God in Truth not be exciting? As Christians we have reason to cry out aloud and praise the Lord. Paul also wrote these words, Galatians 4:6 “And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.” Men, lift-up your voices to God in song, worship and prayer, folks let us lift the roof in praise to God for His grace in salvation, let our “hearts, crying, Abba, Father.” Where the truth of God is preached there should be much rejoicing among the saints of God, AMEN! We cannot allow the heretics of false outward worship control our inward true worship of God and Jesus Christ as Saviour.  

 

Love your wife.

Ephesians 5:25 “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;”

There is no question how much a husband is supposed to love his wife, “even as Christ also loved the church”. Why did God never tell the wife the same requirement, it is because the wife is subject to her husband. Husbands and wives are not on equal footing in the family, the wife is subject unto her husband, yes even in the twenty-first century. Ephesians 5:22 - 24 "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. (23) For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. (24) Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing." There is really no question what the word submit means, it means “to be subordinate” which means “under the authority or control of another”. There is not a more blessed woman than one who serves the Lord in the family as the Lord has commanded her. This is the way God has ordained the family, the husband is the leader, then the wife, then the children, and God is head of the family. There is no question what God is saying, He could have not spelled it our any clearer. But our focus today is on the husband, and how much he is to love his wife, “as Christ also loved the church”, men, that is a tall order! A man’s wife is a gift from God, as children are and as Christian men we are to love and cherish God’s gifts to us. It is sad that most families do not understand God’s order for the family, but the world also does not accept much of what God orders. Only true Christian families are subject to God’s commandments, those who do not accept and follow God’s commandments are obeying the world and not God. The reason God ordered the husband to love his wife with such great love, compared only to Christ’s love for His church. Now husbands that is a great love, we are not commanded to love anyone outside of the Lord Himself with such a love. People often ask other people who have been married for such long time “what’s the secret” it is a family living biblical ordered lives. The key to everything in life is “love and obedience”. The greatest Christian, church, or family is those who obey God and His scriptural commands. Those that refuse are scriptural dysfunctional, and nothing works as God said it would. A marriage between a man and a woman is meant to be for a lifetime, and obeying God is the foundation to that marriage lasting for a lifetime. Gentlemen let us all show our wives the love God has commanded, and we are without excuse if we do not. Ladies serve you husbands as a help mate and not as a ruler, a good wife always inserts the scripture in her life. We are to obey God and not the opinions of the world, Satan controls the thinking of this world. Husbands love your wives as Christ Loves the church, think about that.
