We Dwell In Peace And Safety In The Lord!

“I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.” Psalms 4:8

Beloved, we are not a people with dependence on mankind; our faith is in the Lord and Him only. God is our shield and our protector; with Him we need none other. Even though we live in a world of hatred toward God and toward us because of Him, we will survive. We can lay down in peace at night because the Lord is holding us. Only God knows what’s ahead for us, therefore our security must be on Him. He is able to sustain and keep us safely from Satan and this evil world. God is Sovereign therefore His will is always accomplished, He is Omniscient therefore He knows every detail of everything, He is Omnipresent therefore He is everywhere at one time and since He is everywhere at one time He cannot leave us as He has promised. Hebrews 13:5 "...I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." God has set our bounds and we will not pass them either short or long. Job 14:5 “Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;” If we believe these things about God then we need not lean on any other, not even on ourselves. It must be understood by the believer that God is our all and in all because if we do not believe and understand this then how can we have the trust in Him to sleep in peace at night. The Psalmist went on to say “…only makest me dwell in safety.” Only He can! When we look at ourselves we find how frail we are, how insecure we are, but in the Lord that all changes. Beloved, I know this life is full uncertainty for the believer, but in the Lord, and under His protective hand we understand that nothing will happen to the believer outside of Gods will. God never promised us a tomorrow in this life but He has most certainly promised us a life forever beyond this one. God has said He does as He pleases with the inhabitance of creation and no one has a right to ask “...What doest thou?" Daniel 4:35 He has the right to give and to take life as He chooses because He is life, and the giver of it. Therefore it matters not what tomorrow will bring because it is God who has determined what is on tomorrow. So we can go to bed tonight and wonder if we are safe, or we can go to bed and know we are in Gods protective hand. Therefore, if I die before I wake than God has taken me home by His own blessed will. Folks, let us all take every day and every night one at a time understanding God is already in tomorrow and His will, will control tomorrow. Always remember this blessed promise from the Lord; "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (36) As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. (37) Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. (38) For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, (39) Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:35 - 39

Many People Will Be Disappointed When Death Comes.

“So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:8

God says that if one is not saved, if one has not been washed in the sin cleansing blood of Jesus Christ, if one has not been delivered to the cross of Jesus Christ for salvation, then they will not ever do anything to please God. It is sad to think that so many good moral people, people who spent most of their life attempting to worship and glorify God will be told in judgment "And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:23 These are they whom will stand in judgment before Jesus Christ who sits on the great white throne to judge the lost. As they plead their cases before Christ Jesus. They will learn at this time that their works really were nothing and non-pleasing to God. Therefore, one might ask who are in the flesh; all who do not believe in their heart that Jesus Christ is their Saviour. It is not what you believe in your mind but what you believe in your inner person or in your heart. We see Jesus explain this in detail to Nicodemus in John chapter three where multiple time Jesus told this ruler of the Jews that if he did not believe in Jesus as Saviour he would not see nor enter the kingdom of God. Jesus also told us multiple times in John chapter 10 that He is the door and if we do not enter through Him we will not get to heaven. "I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture." John 10:9 Jesus even went as far to say that those who attempt to enter another way is a thief and a robber. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber." John 10:1 They are a thief in that they are attempting to steal something that is not theirs, and a robber in that they are attempting to rob Christ Jesus of His due glory. See if one attempts to enter heaven through works, baptism, by church affiliation, by religion affiliation of any sort, or by any other way, they are attempting to rob Christ Jesus of His glory because it is His glory to save sinners from eternal damnation. I know that people learn from men that they call Pastors that there are other means of salvation outside of Christ but what they teach is not of God, they are not of God. They are mislead and are misleading their hearers, what they teach is not of God but is of another. God said it this way in Isaiah 56:9 - 12 "All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest. (10) His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. (11.) Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. (12) Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant." Folks, eternity is never ending, the fires of hell are hot, painful, and punishing, so you might search the scriptures to see what God has said exactly before you die and open your eyes in the eternal lake of fire. Because if you die in the flesh and you have not been born of the Holy Spirit and washed in the blood of Jesus Christ then you will not see nor enter the kingdom of God. The Lord said "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." John 5:39 Don’t put your eternal state in the hands of a man who may not even be of God, search Gods word and put your faith in, and in what it says. Don’t be a thief or robber but enter by the door. There are so many morally good people who think they are pleasing God but are not. They will stand in judgment pleading to the Lord what they have done but it will all be fruitless when Jesus opens the Book of the Lamb and their name is not written and He says depart, I never knew you. Because He is Lord and does not know thief’s and robbers. "Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed." John 6:27

Every Christian Shall See Tribulations!

“For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.” 1 Thessalonians 3:4

When you look at the word “tribulations” the definition is pretty narrow and simple, it means – to afflict or to have troubles – however even with such a narrow meaning it has a wide affect, because it affects everyone both lost and saved. However, while it affects us all it is used in different ways on the saved and the lost, on the lost it is punishment, and on the saved it is used to build; (1.) faith and (2.) patience. “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;” Romans 5:3 We as believers must understand that this world is not our home and that we ought not get to comfortable in it. God wants us to understand that while His love is great and while we are His own children, troubles are going to be ours in this life. God wants out minds, hopes, and dreams to be on Him. God will therefore use tribulations in many ways and for many reasons, but He will always see us through them. As Christians we are never left alone to deal with any of life’s troubles. "Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort...Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 2 Corinthians 1:3 – 4. There are so many Preachers that talk about what God wants you to have and at the same time never mention tribulations. If God gave us all that we wanted here in this life then we would not need God. We all need to remember that God is a jealous God and He wants our full attention and not just for 3, 4 or less hours a week but rather everyday. If God finds it necessary He will send us trouble just to remind us that we need Him and we need Him in everything and in everyday. There will be times when God will send us tribulation to test our faith, not to Him because He knows our faith, but rather to us to show us that we have grown weaker in faith. Every believer needs a strong faith and strong faith only comes when we are walking in the strength of the Lord. This is accomplished by (1) attending church, and (2) by studying His word and much prayer. It is when these two elements lack in our life that our faith in the Lord lacks and we loose patience’s. Folks, God has promised us all tribulations whether we are the ultimate sound, church attending Christian or the weakest Christian because God has promised them to us all. However, the sort of tribulations we get will depend on why God sends them. This is what we also know, is that God loves us who are His own and He never leaves us to deal with these tribulations alone, He is always loving us and helping us. Romans 8:35 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” nothing shall ever separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus, not even tribulations. Therefore when troubles come just seek the Lord, seek the Lord before you do anyone or anything else. God will always be our refuge and strength in our times of troubles. Romans 12:12 “Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;” Therefore it is not “if” they come but rather “when” they come, therefore we as Christians always need to be prepared for them when they come, and that preparedness is being in and close to the Lord. Deuteronomy 4:30 - 31 "When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; (31.) (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them." I kinow this promise is to the Israelites but it is also to us as Christians.
