Whom do You Seek To Please?

“For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.” Galatians 1:10

Most people who call themselves Christians have no idea what this verse is asking. They have grown up in an Arminian church who has never known nor will ever know the True God of our universe. Their entire service is about pleasing mankind, it is not about God or His blessed Son Jesus Christ who is the Saviour of mankind. If you do not believe, and your church does not proclaim the absolute Sovereignty of God and the total saving ability of Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit, then you do not seek to please God. Satan was selfish in his fall from heaven by seeking what God had for himself. Mankind is just like their father Satan, they seek to be sovereign like God, they seek the ability not to need God for salvation, they seek the ability not to need Jesus Christ as their Saviour, and they seek not to need the power of the Holy Spirit to come to Christ. These people seek to save themselves by their own power, under their own authority, and by their own works, but their end will be misery and destruction in the lake of hell’s fires for eternity. I have heard their preaching, their singing, I have seen their worship services and they are not God pleasing, they are soul pleasing. Therefore the people flock to them, they do not want to hear about God or about glorifying God, they desire only to hear about themselves and what they can accomplish if they just try. God left no doubt that salvation is the total work of God and man has nothing to do with it. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of GodNot of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8 – 9 If you, if your pastor, or if your church thinks otherwise that makes this scripture meaningless, and you do not believe in God as Sovereign. You do not seek to please God, because worship is 100% about God and 0% about us. Salvation is 100% from God and 0%from us, we are the benefactors of God’s goodness and not the other way around. We worship God and in that worship God is blessed and glorified and that is pleasing to God. “Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;” Exodus 20:5 God does not want to share His glory with you, He wants all your praise for His glory to you. “And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart…And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain.” 1 Samuel 12:20 - 21 Folks, if your worship service is not all about worshiping God then it is not a worship service to God. If your salvation is not a gift from God, then you are not saved. Do not be fooled by the trickery of itchy ears of satisfying selfishness, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears…And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:3 – 4 Where are you, what is your worship, do you seek to worship God or yourself?

What Must I Do To Be Saved?

“And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved…And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” Acts 16:30 – 31

This is the most misunderstood question in the entire word of God. It is so misunderstood because it is most ill-answerable question by the vas-majority of Christianity. You can ask 50 different pastors in 50 different churches and you will most likely get 50 different answers and 49 of the 50 will be wrong or mis-leading. When the Philippian jailer asked the Apostle Paul and Silas this question they answered with these words, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…”. But as it is here in the world almost all of them that call themselves “Christians”, “churches”, and even “pastors” cannot comprehend this scripture, it is like Greek to them. They all want to add their little beliefs to it and expand what God’s Spirit inspired Paul to write in the scriptures. They want to add works, baptism, church membership, decision, choices, or other forms of works to being saved, but what did God say, “Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:9 and God also said, “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” Romans 3:20 Since God made these and many more denunciations of any sort of work for salvation then why do people keep insisting that you must work for a gift that is of love and grace? Why didn’t Paul add this errors’ thought to his answer to the Philippian jailer? Jesus said to the Jewish ruler Nicodemus, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3 The words “born again” carries many meanings and is translated many ways, for example - some translating it, from above, and others, again or anew. – some will teach that baptism is part of being born again because of verse 5, “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” But that is errors because of verse 6 God defined His thought, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” What Jesus was talking to this Jewish ruler was about two births, the first is fleshly or by your natural mother and the second birth is by God you Father in heaven. What Jesus was telling Nicodemus is that if you are not born of God then you will neither see or enter the kingdom of God. Please understand, the very thought of baptism in the re-birth process would violate the very scriptures you are reading, “Not of works…” Ephesians 2:9 Therefore, we must conclude that when Jesus told Nicodemus to be “born again” he actually meant being born of God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, and by the works of Jesus Christ. Paul also wrote these powerful words, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14 That is because all that the Holy Spirit convicts to be saved are saved, He is God and God never fails. Therefore, in John chapter three we must conclude that Jesus was telling Nicodemus he must be born from above or from God as though he was born by his mother in the natural process. Before you listen to those other 49 preachers, and churches, you need to read the word of God in context and in the context God wrote it, and not the context most preacher preach it. The Apostle Paul was exactly right in what he said to the Philippian jailer, he left nothing out of his words, salvation is in the person and works of Jesus Christ, Jesus paid it all and in full for your sins. God saves sinners and Jesus Christ has done the full and complete work, you have nothing to do, believe this and you to can be saved. “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.” 1 John 5:1 How were you saved, by your works or of God? Jesus said, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” John 5:39

Having All Your Sins Forgiven.

“And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;” Colossians 2:13

One day we who have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus will truly understand what it means to “…having forgiven you all trespasses;”. Some people who think of themselves as Christians have never had their sins forgiven, they are falsely chasing a theology that will only send them to hell when they die. If your sins are not forgiven or have been cleansed by the blood of the Saviour Jesus Christ, then you are not saved. People cannot save themselves; they cannot go through life without sinning, not even a single day, it is impossible. The theology or doctrine that they are trusting in is false in every way, it is anti-scripture and anti-God. But to us who have been saved, to us who have been cleansed by the blood of the Saviour, we will one day understand what it means to have been cleansed from our transgressions. The Psalmist wrote, “Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered…Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.” Psalms 32:1 – 2 Three blessings here (1.) you are “forgiven”, (2.) your sins are “covered”, and (3.) God will not “impute” your sins to you. When God “forgives” a sinner their sins are carried away, you no longer have them, they are eternally gone. When God says your sins are “covered” He means they are covered by the blood of His dear Son and He will never see them again, ever! And there is the third fact, He “imputeth not iniquity”, when God fails to impute your sins it means God will not charge you with your sins, it does not mean there not charged, or not paid for, but rather that you will not pay for them, Jesus paid for them at Calvary. This is not past sins, or present sins, but all your sins, you are actually sin-free as though you have never committed a single sin. They have been forgiven, covered, and paid for by God the Father who sent Jesus Christ to the cross to die for them. What a blessing and the Psalmist wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. When we get to heaven, we will be sin-free for the very first time, Satan will no longer tempt you, your natural man is gone, and sin will never cross your mind or heart again, EVER! “Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins…And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.” Acts 13:38 – 39 There is nothing for you to do, Jesus has done it all by carrying all your sins to the cross with Him. Believe on Him and your sins too will be forgiven. “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved…And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” Acts 16:30 – 31
