Almost Finished

2 Thessalonians 2:3 “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;”

Paul is reminding these folks not to be fooled by those that seemed to be speaking about an instantaneous return of the Lord. Times must have been tough for those beloved brethren because they truly had been looking for the Lord Jesus to return however little did they know His return was still more than two-thousand years away. Times were hard in those days for them that loved the Lord because they were so hated; however times have not changed much since then. While we are not today threatened with our lives for the worship of Jesus we are still hated for the true worship of Him. I spoke last week about how times have changed and so much is being accepted today than was fifty years ago, but let’s also not forget the great apostasy we are in today. Paul spoke here that this falling away must come first and beloved it has. If you find a church of truth that has over 30 members then you have found an extremely blessed church. Let’s look at some other point that has been fulfilled Matthew 24:10-12 “And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. (11.) And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. (12.) And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” These are facts we can see besides the apostasy, “shall many be offended” we certainly keep the world mad about the truth of the bible, they are angered just because we still love and worship Jesus Christ, “shall betray one another” we just had one single man to steal fifty billion dollars through betrayal and we see much betrayal in the religionist circles all of the time, “because iniquity shall abound” that is it will be on a steady increase and it is worse almost on daily basis, and “the love of many shall wax cold” love is a hard thing to find these days even among many Christians. Is there anything in these scriptures that you can find that still needs to be fulfilled? We can go on and on with things that has already been fulfilled, beloved we as Pastors need to keep the flocks reminded and ready and as Christians we all need to make sure we are ready and prepared for the Lord’s return more than ever before. While these people thought Jesus would return soon, I believe it is certain before long.

Beloved in the last days the world will come together so the Anti-Christ can control it, and there is one single thing that will sure-fire bring the world together and that is money. The last great Nation on earth has aligned herself with the entire world with our financial condition. This one single issue affects the whole world and must have a united world solution. Our government will never solve this issue by throwing trillions upon trillions of dollars at it, all this money will simply de-value our own money and over time cause our dollar to be worthless. I do not know but one (out side of the Lord) who can solve this problem and that will be the Anti-Christ. Beloved all we have to do is to study the bible to find the answers to the Lord’s return and you will find it looks to be very close. Beloved time for Christians and the Lord’s churches is ALMOST FINISHED!

The coming of our Lord is drawing nigh.

“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. (5.) For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. Matthew 24:4-5

Beloved remember this one simply fact, the Lord Jesus Christ is going to return! I know the time has arrived where there is great doubt, but Jesus, Who cannot lie promised He would return “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:3, the angels promised that He would return “Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” Acts 1:11 and others also promised. Therefore in order to believe He is not going to return is to call Jesus, the angels in heaven, and others liars. Therefore we as believers need to be like the five virgins that were intelligent enough to buy oil for their lamps. We have so many today that have separated themselves from the word of God for man pleasing doctrine that it has came to the point it can be classified as innumerable. Many have died separated from the Lord’s church and therefore being separated as a member of the Bride of Christ who will at the wedding feast regret their actions here on earth. Ask any Bride at any wedding and she will tell you it is much more glorious to be the bride than to be a guest.

I see the times aligning themselves in a proper order for the Lord’s return, Apostasy is in full swing, America and Israel are constantly at war with the Muslims, and people are everywhere claming to be Jesus Christ. Maybe not using His name but claiming to be the saviour of mankind and even calling themselves or accepting others to call them the messiah. We heard this word used in the last election and people actually believe he is their saviour and believes he has the power to deliver us from our economical woes. We have so many deceivers in pulpits, on the television, and on the radio who only seek to please the flesh that it seems unreal. We have not noticed the deception so much because it has gradually come about. Let’s look at it this way; those of you who are older will remember when the movie “Gone with the wind” came out and the word damn was used and the controversy it caused, in fact some would not watch the movie because it contained this word, and over time the words got worse and worse and yes even worse until we have the mess on television we have today. This is the way deception and the Apostasy has come about, it just kept getting worse until we have the mess we have today. It is so bad today that many no longer believe in their hearts that Jesus is truly going to return. Just as some in politics use children to draw more money out of our pockets, deceivers use children to draw believers out of churches to their deception by entertainment in Sunday school, by having programs aimed at the children, and by having gymnasiums. Those of you that are old enough, please return you mind back to thirty years ago at what the church was and travel through time until today and see what it has became, and ask yourself is this what Jesus (the creator) of the church willed for it, it becoming secular like? Beloved deception has over time become so great that it is deceiving the very elect of God. They have reached the point that secular affairs are more important than the word of God. It has taken generations to get to this point but we are here and Jesus is much, much closer to His return. They (the secular churches) may have doubts and may create doubts in the hearts and minds of their flocks but this is fact, Jesus is going to return like it or not. So many will suffer great loss because they allowed themselves to be deceived but remember this, their will be no excuses.

Who knows the mind of God?

“For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?” Romans 11:34

The first question is “For who hath known the mind of the Lord?” Beloved actually none of us truly understand the mind of God except that small amount the Holy Spirit has taught us. I know there are some that believe they totally understand God’s mind and knows all of His will but they are sadly mistaken. Let’s understand something about God; His mind is too broad and deep for us to understand except for a small very limited amount. For example He has every hair on your head numbered, He knows every sparrow that falls, He has every grain of sand in the sea numbered, He knows every angel in heaven although we count them as innumerable. God has one mind and one counsel of doing His will and we will never be able to understand nor could we ever comprehend His plan or why He does as He does except to trust Him and follow what we believe is His will. Let’s take God’s word (the bible), it is so deep that we need volumes of commentaries and dictionaries just to attempt to understand it and even with that we sometimes miss the true meaning. The bible is God’s word and by that I mean every word was inserted as His Holy Spirit directed the men to write it. We sometimes (and myself included) attribute too much to the writers instead of the author. Beloved when you open and read the bible you are actually reading the mind of God. It took over 1500 years and 40 plus writers to complete what we now call the bible, however since the sixty – sixth book was completed million upon millions of other books have been written attempting to describe to us all what is the mind of God. What so many have forgotten is this is not just another book among the other millions but rather this is God’s final word. No matter what the other million upon millions attempt to say only the word of God stands true. Man has searched for ways to totally understand God and His will but he will never be able to accomplish that task. What little we are blessed to understand is a glorious gift from on high. As Paul wrote one of these sixty – six books to the church at Colossae we find him to say “That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; (3.) In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:2-3 That is they are hid in God and cannot be figured out by man on his own no matter how smart he is. Beloved spiritual intelligence comes only from God. So understanding God’s will must be a revelation from God.

We find so many today seeking to explain God’s word, and in doing so we find man making fools of themselves. Beloved if you watch T.V. and programs like the History Channel or the Discovery Channel you will find Hollywood seeking one purpose and that single purpose is to discredit God’s word. They will attempt to prove that for a virgin to have a child is an impossibility, they will attempt to prove that Moses and the Israelites crossed the Red Sea in a shallow section, they will attempt to show that it was impossible for Jonah to be swallowed by a whale and live to be vomited up, and they will attempt to prove that if Noah built the Ark as described in the bible it could not have ever floated. However that all fail to realize the most important fact of all, “Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.” Mark 10:27. My question to them all is; who knows the counsel of God? If God said it to be so then beloved it is so even if man fails to understand. Are we going to believe God or man? God never said it would be easy to understand nor did God ever say that it is to make sense to man, God only said “I am Truth” John 14:6. They know not the mind of God nor the wisdom of His ways.
