“For the wrath of God
is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who
hold the truth in unrighteousness;” Romans 1:18
I was taught as a child to fear God, but as I have grown
older and times have changed, people’s fear of God has also changed. I see very
little fear of God today and the main reason is, Pastors have failed to teach
it. Another reason is people have stopped going to church. When the Pastors of
the churches fail to do their job and preach the truth of the bible then people
fail to understand the bible. If your Pastor does not teach about hell and the
eternal fires of it, then you might not fear going to hell. Today if you attend
a funeral, even the funeral of a lost person chances are good the Minister is
going to preach them into heaven with no mention of hell. Another very large
failure of today is the non-teaching about the wrath of God, it is real and
people that are lost will suffer God’s wrath. Paul wrote in our text that “the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness” but the average preacher will tell you “God had
nothing to do with that disaster”, how does that preacher know that? Who told
him that God did not bring a disaster as punishment of mans sinfulness? God is
a God of wrath, He will bring wrath, after wrath, after wrath, until we get the
message. God is going to fill this earth with wrath in the Tribulation Period,
and this world will suffer mightily by God as He rains down wrath from heaven.
Only if you are a believer in Jesus Christ will you escape the wrath of that
seven years. “But God commendeth his love
toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us…Much more
then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through
him.” Romans 5:8 – 9 There is still time for the world to awaken
from Satan’s deception and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, because once Jesus
returns for the rapture then it is to late. People have lost their fear of God
and it will cost them dearly in the future. Allowing homosexuality to run rapid
and allowing women to kill their babies as a form of birth control is not
setting well with God. I am personally looking for some more of God’s wrath on
this Nation before to long. But now, now they want to allow a doctor to kill a child
that has exited the womb, if the mother choses too. Paul said, “…against all ungodliness and unrighteousness
of men…” especially legalized murder of babies. Folks as the times continue
to get worse so will the wrath of God against it. The only thing that will keep
us from sinfulness is our fear of God, we do not play with electrical wires because
we will get shocked, sin is only non-existent if we fear God. “Having therefore these promises, dearly
beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and
spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” 2 Corinthians
7:1 Do you fear God, then walk in the light as He is in the light.
