I obey in two sets of laws; the Bible and our Constitution

“Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.” Acts 5:29

I write this article with no intention of being a man of law breaking, however no man alive on this earth will ever tell me what I can or cannot preach from the pulpit of the church where God has graciously set me as Pastor. There is no doubt that there is coming a time (and this time is very close) when our government is going to attempt to control our pulpits and tell us as pastors that there are certain things we cannot preach about or we will be charged with hate crimes. I have been telling our membership here this since the last election, and this was going to be brought to reality within the next four years and one of the members here told me he had heard it discussed on T.V. Beloved, I know this is going to be a reality, pastors speaking about homosexuality and against abortion will one day be a hate crime right here in America. Socialist cannot run anything without controlling everything including the pulpits of American churches. Well beloved I am here to tell you and our Socialist government one thing; “you are not going to control my pulpit!” We have two sets of laws and I obey them both and I am protected by them both. The Constitution of the United States of America gives me this right: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” Our founding father made sure the churches were protected from our government and government has no right to invade our churches pulpits. God gave me the right to pastor one of His churches and God gave me the right to preach His Holy Script, and no man on this earth will ever take away my rights given to me by God and our Nation’s Constitution.

Please understand one simple fact, abortion is still murder and homosexuality is still an abomination to the Lord our God. Leviticus 18:22 “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” My name is not Pastor Rick Warren and I will not justify what God has over and over condemned in His word. Just because certain people who are lost and condemned to eternal destruction have a desire to over power God’s word and God’s pastors does not mean it is going to happen. Baptist have for more than two thousand years (along with many other Christians) suffered great persecution and just because we have had a few hundred years without it does not mean it will not come again. In our text (Acts 5:29) we see two Baptist men Peter and John told by their government not to preach about Jesus Christ or they would be killed and beloved they did not stop and neither will I stop. My sermons are controlled by One and His blessed name is Jehovah God. Beloved my own church will never tell this Pastor what he can or cannot preach in the pulpit, it is forbidden. If this church was to ever to make this demand I would without hesitation resign. However this church would never make such a demand. Our church is a sovereign, independent body and we are neither part of any conference, association, or etc. nor will we be controlled by the government of the United States of America or any other outside source. Our Constitution protects me and other strong pastors from being controlled by our government and I will never bow down to its power on this matter. This new Socialist controlled government may control what happens outside of this church but they will never control what goes on inside of it, nor will they ever control this pulpit. If America wants to believe the murder of unborn children and homosexuality are just acts then so be it, but you will never make me justify it nor will you ever force me not to continue to prove it is an act of abomination. Romans 1:27 “And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.”
