Subject – Children of God
Text - Ephesians 1:5b
This is the very thought that ought to put every single
believer in the third heavens mentally, “Having predestinated us unto the
adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself…” God, before anything was
ever created foreknew you, elected you, predestinated you to be His child for
all eternity in His own Son Jesus Christ. God, as Holy and Just in His very
being is, chose a remnant of people that are sinners in every action, who could
never do any good, unprofitable in every deed, who their on own would never
have chosen to understand God, and would never seek God on our own, were chosen
of God to be His children. But Why? That is the great question we will never be
able to answer while in this flesh, why of all the people on this earth did God
chose me? But, God did not just elect you to be His child, God also “…predestinated us unto the adoption of
children by Jesus Christ to himself…” Remember that the word
“predestinated” it means - to limit in advance, that is to determine before, or
to ordain – However, the Greek word “proorizō” comes from two other Greek word
“pro” and “horizō” and separate these two words means – to mark out before or
to ordain. So together it all means that before the foundation of the world God
limited in advance, marked out a remnant of the worlds population that He
ordained to be His “adopted children, by His own Son Jesus the Christ”. Now,
the words “adoption of children” means - the placing as a child, that
is, as a Christian adoption means - sonship in respect to God – We would liken
this relationship to what we call “adopted children” which we would liken to
our own blood child. In other words, there would be no difference between our
own blood child and an adopted child as far as our relationship to our parents.
This relationship between us, Jesus, and the Father is defined our Father this
way, “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the
children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs
with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also
glorified together.” Romans 8:16 – 17 The words “joint-heirs” means - participant
in common: heir together, heir with – this means as adopted children of God, we
will be as much a child as Jesus the Son of man Himself is. Not in deity, but
as children, we are God’s very own children. We are not ranked with the angels,
nor are we ranked with any other being in heaven, except Jesus the Christ. We
should not think of ourselves as “adopted children, but children of the King”.
How blessed are we who are loved, elected, and predestinated to be God’s dear children?
Now look at this blessing, Paul told in Colossians
1:13 “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath
translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” This means that God has
transferred us from Satan’s child of wickedness and Satan’s power to hold us,
into the kingdom of Jesus Christ. It would be impossible for a person to do this
on their own. On our own we drink sin like water, we do not understand God or
righteousness, nor do me even seek God or righteousness. Therefore, God
concluded that we were “…delivered us from the power of darkness…” and
it was not an action of any kind on our part. Salvation a gift it is not a
prize we earn, how could we ever earn a prize that we wanted no part in, ever!
Our salvation is an honor, privilege, and a blessing from God Himself thru His
own Son Jesus Christ, therefore as God’s children we have the responsibility to
do our Fathers will in this world. We need to honor our Father who has honored
us in Jesus Christ.
“…unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to
himself…” This is a fact; mankind just cannot get over themselves. They
truly think of salvation as a prize instead of a gift, But God has said without
question, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23 But the humanistic
thinking of the lost heart is that they must control everything. Their destiny
is in their hands and they are the captain of their actions which means that
they are the captain of their own salvation, but God says different. “For it
became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing
many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through
sufferings. Hebrews 2:10 Folks, this is clear and plain, God
saves sinners thru His Eternal Son Jesus Christ the Son of man. We are the
captain of nothing but the recipients of God’s love, grace, mercy, and His dear
Son Jesus Christ. Salvation is in Him and nothing else, but to the lost person,
to the ones in control of their own destiny, to those who think they chose
Christ, made their own decisions, to them that are working, to those who was baptized
to be saved, and to those who proudly say “God can’t change mans will” because
man has a right to chose their own destiny, Hell will be their eternal home
when they die. Why, “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the
Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them,
because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14 To the
believer, to the child of God, the crucifixion of Jesus Christ (which is
part of the gospel message) and the blood spilt, that means eternal life to
the believer. We praise the actions on the cross, we do not worship a cross.
But to those self-destined souls who believe in themselves and the prize they
think they have earned and call the actions on the cross foolishness and irrelevant,
Hell will be their eternal home. “For the preaching of the cross is to them
that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”
1 Corinthians 1:18 However, we who “Having predestinated us unto the adoption
of children by Jesus Christ to himself…” say thank you Father for electing
us to eternal LIFE by your dear Son Jesus the Christ.

God’s Sovereignty Part 6
Subject – Having predestinated us
Text - Ephesians 1:5a
Here we find these blessed words, “Having predestinated
us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself…”. Some people
find it very difficult to understand that God could choose a people for His
own, but at the same time do not find it difficult that God chose a Nation
for Himself. These same people are what I call the deniers of God’s
Sovereignty, a doctrine that has been around since before the creation of the
world. God has chosen to elect in so many ways that it is impossible to deny.
God elected to create the world, populate it with many kinds of created beings
but elected to bless mankind with dominion over the other creation. God also elected
to allow man to fall under the power of Satan, God could have stopped Adam and
Eve from sinning but elected to allow the fall. God elected the Israelites to
be His nation from all the other nations of the earth, He was under no
obligation to chose them. God elected to harden Pharaoh’s heart to allow more
tribulations to come on him before God elected to kill Pharaoh and his
warriors. God elected to love Isaac and to hate Esau but by the Jewish custom
God should have loved Esau because he was first born. How about preachers, most
all preachers, even most of those who deny God’s Sovereignty will tell you God
called them to the ministry, that God sent then to their church or work, isn’t
that election? The reason so many deny a doctrine that once was believed by so
many different historical denominations is because of humanism. This is what
God said about humanism, “Who changed the truth of God into a lie,
and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is
blessed for ever. Amen.”
Romans 1:25 Humanism is a lie and they have changed God’s truths into lies
so that mankind can believe that God can only save a sinner if they are willing
to be saved. Please give that some thought, God can only act if the created
being is willing, but didn’t God tell us this, “There is none that
understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.” Romans
3:11 Folks, this is contradiction at its highest level, making humanism a
lie. People do not make salvation a choice, decision, nor do they pray a prayer
to be saved, this is all humanism and no where is the entire bible is anyone
ever coached to choose Christ, nowhere. But lost souls who call themselves
Christs just keep believing ignorance like “God cannot change our wills” therefore
you must choose Him because He does not tamper with the human will. “For
it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
Philippians 2:12
If God’s election of a remnant of the world’s population to
be saved causes your humanistic brain to blow-up, then the very thought of
Predestination ought to really send you over the edge of the humanistic cliff.
What has God predestinated us to be, “…us unto the adoption of children…” Again,
this is not the Israelites, and proof of this is when Paul inserted the word
“us” it means “us” as Christians not “us” as Jews. This is the elected remnant
who God loved and chose to be His adoptive children, when all is finished, hell
is full and sealed, and all things have been made new, than God will have
before Himself a family of children He adopted, as He elected each one of them.
Think of this, when a husband and wife want to adopt a child, they choose a
child from many, and adopt that child, that is election on their part. Let’s
define this word “predestinated” Strong’s defines it, - to limit in advance –
now give that some thought as to all I have written thus far, limited in
advance. W.E. Vine said this Greek word “proorizō” “has a special reference to
that to which subjects of His foreknowledge and predestination to person He
foreknew.” Those God foreknew God predestinated to be His children. “For
whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of
his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom
he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also
justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.” Romans
8:29 Ah! It all fits like a puzzle doesn’t it? This alone destroys humanism,
and this is why humanistic preachers hate God’s Sovereignty, because they have
changed God’s Truth into a humanistic doctrinal lie. If you want to understand
the absolute truth of salvation read this scripture, “Elect according to the
foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto
obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and
peace, be multiplied.” 1 Peter 1:2 There is absolutely no humanism, no
choice or decisions, no prayers, no works, no baptism, just God saving sinners.
Please allow me to define this blessed scripture for you in a quick way, (1)
God elected those whom He foreknew or predestinated to be His adopted children,
(2) thru the purification of the Holy Spirit Who comes into us, quickens our
dead spirits, causes us to believe and gives us the gift of purification, (3)
The Holy Spirit does this by the blood of Jesus Christ that was spilt from His
body on Calvary. No humanism, no choices on our part, no works, no baptism, just
God saving sinners as He chooses. Therefore, the humanistic preachers and
workers hates God’s Sovereignty, it eliminates their power and puts all power
in God’s hands where it belongs. Only God can change a sinner that loves to
drink sin like water, God gave us this as proof, “And if thou say in thine
heart, Wherefore come these things upon me? For the greatness of thine iniquity
are thy skirts discovered, and thy heels made bare. Can the Ethiopian change
his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are
accustomed to do evil.” Jeremiah 13:22 Before you condemn these
thoughts on Gods Sovereignty, election, and predestination, you truly need to
give this some thought and prayer, your eternal home depends on it, heaven or
hell. If your salvation is humanistic generated then you are not a child of
God, because only God saves sinners.

God’s Sovereignty Part 5
Subject: Love
“According as he hath chosen us in him before the
foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in
love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to
himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,” Ephesians 1:4 –
5
God before the foundation of the world CHOSE US to be
His Children in Christ. He also promised that WE (the elect of God) will
stand one glorious day before Him without blame for our sins, in love. This is
as though we have never sinned, because Jesus Christ has cleansed the elect sinners
of all sin making us pure holiness, as Adam was before the fall. What a thought
to think about, what a glorious thing it is to be God’s beloved child, and to
know one day these elect will all stand before Him as though we have never
committed a single sin! Now comes a very large question, WHY, why did
God ever do anything for us? The answer is LOVE, this love is God’s love
for us who are the elect, it cannot be our love for Him because God first loved
us. “We love him, because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19 As
we can clearly see, there is no possible way we could ever have loved God first,
(1.) because God loved us before the foundation of the world and elected us to
be His child, and (2.) lost sinners do not love God, they hate and despise Him,
and they reject everything about Him that is truth. Therefore, the lost sinner
will never love God unless God saves them by His grace. “Because the carnal
mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither
indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.”
Romans 8:7 - 8 Because God is not what the lost person wants, they do not
care about God loving them because they do not seek Him. “There is none that
understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.” Romans 3:11 But
we, we who are elected and redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ are loved of
God and we seek God’s love in everything, and if we do not then we are not
saved. Being saved is a love feast between God and His elect, we love Him and
He loves us, and one glorious day we His children will stand before Him in
heaven “in love” and without sin. Our Father loving us as children and us
loving Him as our Eternal Father. The Father, because His love for us caused us
to come to Christ, crying Abba Father. “And
because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your
hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a
servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”
Galatians 4:6 – 7 Some people believe that God loves everyone because they
take the scriptures out-of-context causing contradiction, they also believe
that God sends the Holy Spirit into the hearts of everyone and people have the
right to chose to accept or to deny the offer of salvation, also contradicting
the scriptures. "Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh,
to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if
ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For
as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of
God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but
ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The
Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:"
Romans 8:12 – 16 God the Father in Love prepared for us His elect, God sent His
Son Jesus in the likeness of sinful flesh to die on that cross for His elect, and
chose His Son’s blood as a cleansing for sins of His elect. God also elected to
send the Holy Spirit into our wicked hearts to work in us the resurrection of a
dead spirit and causing us to believe, without failure. The only choosing was
on God’s part. People who are not saved never have liked this teaching because
it eliminates the other remnant for ever being saved. However, God was not
obligated to save one single soul, but God has the right and power to do as He chooses,
and no one has a right to ask “what doist thou”?
“Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and
whom he will he hardeneth. Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find
fault? For who hath resisted his will? Nay but, O man, who art
thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed
it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay,
of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
Romans 9:18 – 21
What a blessing to be truly loved by God the Father!

God’s Sovereignty Part 4
Subject – Our Holiness is Thru Jesus Christ
Text - Ephesians 1:4
It is an absolute fact that before the world or anything
else was created, God in His Sovereignty elected a remnant of this world’s
population to be His children. People can foolishly deny it all they want, but
it is without question and without debate. “According as he hath chosen us
in him before the foundation of the world…” V.4 These elected are not only Israelites,
they are not only Jews, they are people from all walks of life on the earth. It
is true that God elected Israel as a Nation, but God also has a elect people
that includes Gentiles. “And that he might make known the riches of his
glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, Even us,
whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?” Romans
9:23 - 24 God’s election was to both Jews and Gentiles, this is without
question or debatable. People who deny the Sovereignty of God deny this because
this proves the third point of T.U.L.I.P. which is “Limited Atonement”. This
means that the blood of Jesus Christ was only appointed to atone a limited
amount of people which God elected before the world began or in eternity past.
People use out-of-context scriptures in an attempt to deny both election and
limited atonement. Let us examine one, “And he is the propitiation for our
sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1
John 2:2 Here as in other places the word “world” is used by the vast majority of
people in an irresponsible way, like it also is in John 3:16, in neither places
does God mean the entire population of the world. In both places it is
referring to both Jews and Gentiles (the word world includes also Gentiles
which are every nation outside of Israel) but not all of them. If God love
everyone, He would have been forced to love Esau whom He hated, as well as any
others that He did not love. If Jesus died for the sins of everyone in the
world then no one would go to hell when they died because all their sins have
been atoned for, saved people do not have un-atoned sins. “In whom we have redemption
through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his
grace;” Ephesians 1:7
This brings us to the word “Holiness” which means - pure, or
blameless – as we see the Holiness of God, as also we see in Christ, so are we
holy as His children in Christ and the work He did on Calvary. While we are
sinners on this earth, in heaven we will be pure and blameless because Jesus
Christ cleansed us from all our sins. Not one single sin of God’s elect escaped
the anointing blood of Jesus Christ. Paul explained this more in Colossians
1:22 “In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy
and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:” God does not see His
elect as sinners, He sees them as holy and unblameable because Jesus Christ has
cleansed them from all their sins. We also read in 1 Thessalonians 4:7 “For
God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.” And one more
passage, Titus 2:13 - 14 “Looking for that blessed hope, and the
glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave
himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto
himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” People pride themselves
on their work, they even say that you cannot be saved unless you do good works,
but that is not even possible. (1.) because God said many times that salvation
does not include works, none. Eph 2:9, Rom 11:6 (2.) James says our works
is because of our salvation he never said it was for our salvation or any part
of it. James 2:17 “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being
alone.” This is not saying works is a part of salvation, but rather the
evidence of salvation. It is contradiction to read it as works being part
of salvation, since God said salvation is not of works. As Christians our
holiness is in Christ Jesus and thru His blood it is not because we lived holy
because in this world we do not, we are sinners living in a sinful world,
sinning till we die of Jesus Comes. Our only holiness is thru Christ Jesus
death and the shed His blood to cleanse us from all our sins, otherwise
we have un-atoned sins and will go to hell when we die. People in this world
do not live sinless life’s because it is impossible in this flesh. People
without perfect and pure holiness in Christ are lost sinners. Thank God for His
election in choosing us as children and Jesus Christ for His atoning blood to
make us holy. “Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not
according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was
given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by
the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath
brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:” 2 Timothy
1:9 - 10

The Sovereignty of God Part 3 "The Election of God."
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that
we should be holy and without blame before him in love:” Ephesians
1:3 – 4
God begins this very long sentence (verses 3 – 6)
talking about our blessings in Christ. When God speaks of those “in
Christ” He is speaking about the saved. If you are not saved, you cannot be
in Christ nor are you blessed with “spiritual blessings in heavenly places”.
Now God steps-it-up with this glorious thought, “According as he hath chosen
us in him before the foundation of the world”. The “Spiritual Blessings…in
Christ” is the very fact that God has chosen a remnant of people in this
world to be blessed in Christ that are called His children. The words “chosen
and elected” are the very same Greek word in general. Those whom God elected He
choose to be His before the foundation of the world. The question is “who are
the elect of God”? Most deniers of Election say the elect are the Jews, but
they are not correct. Israel is God’s chosen “Nation” in the Old Testament,
this elect is “God’s chosen people, in Christ”. If the meaning of the chosen
here are the Jews, then all Jesus would be saved because these people are “blessed
us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ”, and we know
all Jews were not saved. No one completely understands the election of God
because we cannot understand how God who does not change chose a remnant of
people to be His eternal children. But what we do understand is that God did
elect a remnant of people, both Jews and Gentiles to be His elect children. We
also will never understand why God chose Israel as His chosen Nation or this
remnant to be His chosen family, because God gives no reasoning outside of it
was “His love, good pleasure, and His will” to do so. The deniers of election
also deny the Sovereignty of God, they believe that God works on chance, God
works according to our will, God accepts what we give Him. But the True God, He
chose a remnant in Christ before the foundation of the world and “blessed us
with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places” before the foundation of the
world, we did not choose Him. Paul made a profound statement when he said “But
by the grace of God I am what I am…” 1 Cor. 15:10 meaning whatever he was in
Christ, it was all by God’s grace. Paul never took credit for anything he was
or did because everything in His Christian life was by Gods grace and power. We
read in Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in
Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we
should walk in them.” This is exactly what Paul was talking about, we are
God’s creation created unto good works in Christ Jesus, and God “ordained that
we should walk in them”. God does nothing “by chance” God is not dependent on
us for anything, God ordained everything He wanted before the foundation of the
world, which means it cannot fail. Have you ever heard the the old saying, “if
you want it done right, do it yourself” well that is exactly what God has done,
God ordained what He wanted and carried it out with His own power. God does not
allow man to do anything that He has not ordained them to do. Man is not due
any credit for anything spiritual, all spiritual blessings are from God, in
Christ.
Now, lets look at God’s children, they were
elected before the foundation of the world. They are the blessed in Christ with
spiritual blessings in heavenly places. Jesus speaks about His Father giving
Him a remnant of people before the foundation of the world. “As thou hast
given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many
as thou hast given him.” John 17:2 And in verse 9 Jesus says these
words, “I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them
which thou hast given me; for they are thine.” Why didn’t Jesus
pray for everyone in the earth? Because He was only praying for God’s elect,
the others in the world are wicked and will never be brought to Jesus Christ
for salvation. The myth in the worlds religious teaching is that God
loves everyone, but God does not, God loves His elect and only His elect. These
are those whom He gave to Christ before the foundation of the world and saved
them in time. The truth that the world of religion hates is that God hates
sinners, “For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither
shall evil dwell with thee. The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou
hatest all workers of iniquity.” Psalms 5:4 – 5 that is except His
elect. Now some Sovereign Grace deniers will say that God “fell out of love
with them because they would not repent” but that is not true. The truth is God
never loved them, because God is immutable and changes not, ever! “Every
good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father
of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”
James 1:17 If God cannot change, then He cannot love and hate the same
person, that is change and it is contradiction on God’s part. “God is not a
man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he
said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”
Numbers 23:19 The bible only speaks of a Sovereign God, anything less is
not biblical. Taking scriptures out-of-context to create a false doctrine is
changing the scriptures to worship the creature instead of the creator. Romans
1:25 “Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and
served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.” Think
about it, does God depend on mankind who drinks sin like water, who loves
darkness more than light, who are enmities of God, to repent and change
themselves? No, because God the Sovereign chose or elected them before the
foundation of the world, and delivered them to Christ by the power of the Holy
Spirit in time, making us His children, PRAISE GOD!!!
