God’s Sovereignty Part 5

Subject: Love

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,” Ephesians 1:4 – 5

God before the foundation of the world CHOSE US to be His Children in Christ. He also promised that WE (the elect of God) will stand one glorious day before Him without blame for our sins, in love. This is as though we have never sinned, because Jesus Christ has cleansed the elect sinners of all sin making us pure holiness, as Adam was before the fall. What a thought to think about, what a glorious thing it is to be God’s beloved child, and to know one day these elect will all stand before Him as though we have never committed a single sin! Now comes a very large question, WHY, why did God ever do anything for us? The answer is LOVE, this love is God’s love for us who are the elect, it cannot be our love for Him because God first loved us. “We love him, because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19 As we can clearly see, there is no possible way we could ever have loved God first, (1.) because God loved us before the foundation of the world and elected us to be His child, and (2.) lost sinners do not love God, they hate and despise Him, and they reject everything about Him that is truth. Therefore, the lost sinner will never love God unless God saves them by His grace. “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:7 - 8 Because God is not what the lost person wants, they do not care about God loving them because they do not seek Him. “There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.” Romans 3:11 But we, we who are elected and redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ are loved of God and we seek God’s love in everything, and if we do not then we are not saved. Being saved is a love feast between God and His elect, we love Him and He loves us, and one glorious day we His children will stand before Him in heaven “in love” and without sin. Our Father loving us as children and us loving Him as our Eternal Father. The Father, because His love for us caused us to come to Christ, crying Abba Father.  And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” Galatians 4:6 – 7 Some people believe that God loves everyone because they take the scriptures out-of-context causing contradiction, they also believe that God sends the Holy Spirit into the hearts of everyone and people have the right to chose to accept or to deny the offer of salvation, also contradicting the scriptures. "Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:" Romans 8:12 – 16 God the Father in Love prepared for us His elect, God sent His Son Jesus in the likeness of sinful flesh to die on that cross for His elect, and chose His Son’s blood as a cleansing for sins of His elect. God also elected to send the Holy Spirit into our wicked hearts to work in us the resurrection of a dead spirit and causing us to believe, without failure. The only choosing was on God’s part. People who are not saved never have liked this teaching because it eliminates the other remnant for ever being saved. However, God was not obligated to save one single soul, but God has the right and power to do as He chooses, and no one has a right to ask “what doist thou”?

Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? Romans 9:18 – 21

What a blessing to be truly loved by God the Father!
